Dr. Tania Dumont, MD, FRCSC is an Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa in Canada. She completed her medical school in French at the university of Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada followed by a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa, Canada and a Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology (PAG) fellowship at Sick Kids in Toronto, Canada. She has been a practicing Pediatric, Adolescent and Adult Gynecologist at CHEO, the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, and the Ottawa Hospital in Ottawa, Canada since 2011. She is the PAG Fellowship Program Director and the PAG Resident Rotation Supervisor. Her academic interests are in medical education specifically the use of simulation training in PAG. She has published on this topic and has presented internationally. She has been a member of the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (NASPAG) since 2009 and completed a 5 year term, including 2 years as co-chair, of the Resident Education Committee, was a member-at-large of the board of directors and is an active member of the Fellowship Program Director Committee, currently leading the sub-committee for Canadian Program Directors. On a more personal note, she is a soccer-Mom to two active boys, she enjoys weight training, dancing and skiing and is currently learning the piano.
