Malissa Owen is a fourth year medical student at the University of North Texas Health Science Center Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine located in Fort Worth, TX. Her passion for medicine stems from a long history of advocacy that began in promoting climate change initiatives and public health policy. She discovered how a job in medicine entails advocating for patients at the bedside daily and especially loved working in women's health. In her spare time, she enjoys live music and caring for her plant babies.
